ERM Resource Identifiers

You can use ERM Resource Identifiers for display in PathFinder Pro. This feature is only available to systems that have ERM and/or WebBridge LR. The purpose of using this feature is to display resource and license record information or coverage date information in the panel display for PathFinder Pro. Note: this information cannot be set to display in the resource table, only in the in panel.

Display resource and license record data in panel

If you have Pathfinder Pro and ERM, resource record data can display directly in the panel:

You will need to set up the following:

  • 1. Ensure that ERM Resource Identifiers are populated in the Management Interface to PathFinder Pro. This should happen automatically with a coverage load.
  • 2. Make sure the html page wp_resource.html is in use. This page defines the resourcelist token in wp_panel.html and contains the information to display of the resource and license information.
  • 3. The resource and license record must be set for public display (not suppressed), otherwise the information will not show in the panels.
  • 4. For every resource that has resource and license record information, a value from the Coverage dropdown should be selected in the Resource Definition.

Display coverage data in panel

If you have Pathfinder Pro and WebBridge LR, coverage record data can display directly in the panel:

This tends not to be quite as useful if you also have ERM because the same information is displayed on the bibliographic record used to launch the panel.

You will need to set up the following:

  • 1. Ensure that WebBridge LR Resource Identifiers are populated in the Management Interface to PathFinder Pro. This should happen automatically with a coverage load.
  • 2. Make sure the html page wp_resource.html is in use. This page defines the resourcelist token in wp_panel.html and contains the information to display the resource and license information.
  • 3. For every resource that has coverage data, a value from the Coverage dropdown should be selected in the Resource Definition. In addition, a data test such as MatchISSN or MatchTitle should be used to ensure the coverage database has an entry for the bibliographic record displayed.

The resource or license fields or coverage data displayed are determined by the wp_resource.html custom form. This defines the <!--{resourcelist}--> token found in wp_panel.html.
