Coverage Database

The Coverage Database in Millennium is the logic engine used by WebBridge LR in determining when to display resources for a particular citation. The key elements in that decision making process are the Journal Title or ISSN and dates of coverage for a given resource. This data can be loaded into Millennium from any Coverage Provider using Millennium Administration's Coverage Load mode.

Loading Coverage

Once you have prepared a coverage file for all of the resources you wish to profile from your Coverage Provider, you can load that file into Millennium's Coverage Database.

To load your coverage file in Millennium Administration (or Millennium ERM), open Coverage Load mode:

  • "Select File" to be loaded. Millennium will preprocess the file to be sure it can be loaded properly.
  • Make sure that "Load Coverage" is selected, with the appropriate Match on settings (typically ISSN and Title). A preview of titles will appear.
  • Click "Submit" to send the file to your Millennium server. Depending on the age and speed of your server, processing the file could be slow.

More Information

For additional information on the use of the Millennium Coverage Database, refer to the Innovative Guide and Reference, Page # 105993: Loading Coverage Data.

IMPORTANT!
The "Load Catalog" option is for ERM, and, if checked, will create bibliographic records for each Journal Title in your coverage file.
