Introduction How to Begin File Naming ConventionsPrint this Page
File Naming Conventions
There are two categories of html files in Millennium: Customized forms and Custom files or pages.

Customized forms
These files override system-generated pages or display behavior in the WebPAC. They have strict rules for naming that must be followed to ensure proper function.

For additional information, refer to the Innovative Guide & Reference, Page # 106941: Customizable Web Forms.

Two required custom forms are mainmenu.html (the initial page of the catalog) and opacmenu.html (the primary page of the catalog).

Examples:

srchhelp_t.html (title index page)

pverify_web.html (patron verification page)

briefcit.html (defines the brief citation entries in the browse display)

Custom files or pages
These are pages that the library deems as important for inclusion in the WebPAC but are not present in the system-generated pages. Typically, these pages provide additional information to patrons. In this case, you are welcome to name your files according to local convention. It is recommended that you use a naming system that makes it clear to future WebPAC administrators the purpose of the page.

Examples:

how_to_renew.html

hours.html

friends_of_the_library.html
